Alexander Pilis

Alexander Pilis is an architectural investigator, working under the aegis of "Architecture Parallax". Pilis was born in Rio de Janeiro and lives and works in Toronto and São Paulo. Trained as an architect, he has taught at the University of Toronto in the School of Architecture and the Department of Fine Arts. Pilis is founder of Archimemoria and Architecture-Parallax.net, non-profit organizations established to engage theoretical collisions in architecture, art, science and perception. Pilis has delivered lectures and organized workshops in various museums, architecture and art schools in Canada, Brazil, Germany, Spain and UK.

Architect Parallax: Visual Crisis. A multi-media presentation developed from the feature film “The Blind Architect”. Alexander thinks that allows him to do an investigation of color blindness.
