Iain Gardner

Iain graduated from the Royal College of Art Animation MA. He is himself an Award Winning Short Film maker and Freelance Animator resident in Scotland. His latest short film 'The Tannery' was nominated for a Scottish Bafta and made it onto the long list for consideration for the 2012 Oscars, having won Best Animation at the CFC World wide Short Film Festival in Toronto. Other films include 'Akbar's Cheetah' from 1999. Iain is Director of McLaren 2014, a collective of events marking the Centenary of Norman McLaren in Scotland.

The Tannery. In the film a fox encounters the ghost of a rabbit, and reflects on his responsibility as a hunter. The encounter develops into an unusual relationship – but when a Hunter prepares a Pelt for market, Fox discovers his connection with The Tannery.
