La Fabri-K

La Fabri-K. We developed a self-managed cultural space and we seek a dialogue and exchange of experiences and ideas, link up on projects of mutual benefit to the community as well as having a space for our artistic creation. La Fabri-K is located in Loma Linda in the vicinity of San Salvador in a old warehouse.

Artists:

Baltasar Portillo
A sculptor, designer in his artwork; he develop organic and animal forms to reshape metal objects. In a sensual combination of curved and materials played with the format of the traditional shapes. He has participated in exhibitions in El Salvador as for example at Chicago Design Show, Colorful Room in New York.

Jesus Romeo Galdamez
He holds a Bachelor of Visual Arts at the University of Rio Grande do Sul in Porto Alegre, Brazil. He has worked as a teacher and given lectures and workshops in Brazil, Mexico, USA and Canada. He has exhibited artwork individually and collectively many times in Canada, USA. Latin America, Europe and Japan. He is a member of the Association of Artists of El Salvador.

Francisco Zayas
He graduated in from the University California, College of Arts and Crafts. He has participated in solo and group exhibitions. His recent exhibitions include Someart Gallery, San Fransisco, Cultural Center of Spain in San Salvador and The Edu Art Gallery, Panama.

"Curando Latinoamerica", is a program initiated in 2006, CCESV (El Salvador) invite a curator or an artist to participate in conferences and reviews of young local artists' works, in order to fortify practical and theoretical processes.
