G n' S Projects

Gwendolyn Healey & Sean D’Andrade

Gwendolyn has been painting figurative work since she was a child. She has been in many group shows, had her first solo show at the ArtCenter/South Florida in Miami where she was doing an Artist in Residency and has appeared on the television show Star Portraits. Sean for many years has created artwork with found objects and collage and had his first solo show back in 1997. He has also been an avid contemporary art collector for 20 years. This collection includes some well known artists such as Katherine Bernhardt, Paul P, Nan Goldin, Jason Fox, Huma Bhabha, and Anthony Goicolea.

G n’ S Projects uses popular culture and iconic imagery intuitively to create a “pop surreal” narrative on the human experience. Their hope is to leave the viewer with a psychological charge that expands on their curiosity of life in general. By repositioning images and text found through a variety of mediums, a visual banter is sustained. Utilizing Photoshop gives them the flexibility to create unlimited combinations of juxtaposed images to use in their tête-à-tête to reach their end creation. Through use of acrylic on canvas they sustain the rich history of painting by using a current technique. This intuitive approach creates a vivid narrative that leaves the viewer emotionally and intellectually aroused.
