Lucero Milchorena

Born in Mexico City in 1971, I was always preoccupied with drawing and painting. I grew up as an only child within an abusive but artistic family. After three years of University level Communications studies in Mexico City, I moved by myself to Toronto and applied to the Ontario College of Art (now ODADU). In 1999 I received a grant and completed a Masters program in Barcelona in Digital Arts. For more than 10 years I have been working as a film editor of (especially) author documentaries. Subsequently, I am currently entering my second career as a painter under the mentorship of two Toronto based professional painters.
