Estudio para un realismo Virtual. The aspects that interest me in Siqueiros work are his futuristic explorations of new materials (he was the first artist to work with acrylics and plastics) and in locating new ways to create pictorial forms and narratives in three dimensional spaces. He thought about the motion of the spectator in space and how this affects the reading of his images. He also considered how to correct the distortion of images in corners or other three dimensional surfaces. He was very interested in film language, chemistry and optics. Using new technology, I am searching for new ways to create narrative and form in the three dimensional space. Perhaps this will reveal how the dream of reason creates monsters and social realism.

Exhibition at Shift Gallery, Toronto, Canada; in the framework of alucinARTe Festival.
